Welcome

It never ceases to amaze me what one can create from a combination of mud, sand, stone and heat. All of the pottery in my shop is handmade by me. I do not mass produce anything, creating signed, one-of-a-kind pieces, custom made for you. I begin with an iron rich stoneware clay body using a combination of processes; pottery wheel throwing, hand-building, slab construction, sculpting and carving. I finish my pieces with handcrafted glazes.

The Mud Place sells handmade functional and decorative pottery like mugs, bowls, serving and tableware, shaving and lather bowls, yarn bowls, pitchers, teapots, home decor, kitchen helpers, bathroom and office accessories, miniature pottery and more! I would love to hear about your special project, so please message me about custom work.
